 Road trip north to visit some friends at Snells Beach - over the Auckland Harbour Bridge we go!

This is a funny bridge we went under on the Northern Gateway Toll Road.  It is nicknamed the "Pukeko Bridge".  Does anyone know why?  I wonder who uses this bridge?

Some cool tunnels we went through near the end of the Northern Gateway Toll road.  It wasn't scary because there were lights inside the tunnel :o)

Finally reached our destination - and what a beautiful day to spend at the beach!  Too bad the tide was out - still lots of fun looking in rock pools and splashing in the shallows...
