On Monday 12 November Room 18 went on a Zoo Snooze to Auckland Zoo. We had lots of fun. Caroline from the zoo took us to the freezers where all the food for the animals is kept. She showed us ice blocks that they make for the animals. They are not like ice blocks that we eat, they have leaves, herbs and big bits of fruit in them so they are very healthy for the animals. Caroline also showed us a Giraffe's tail. It had come from a Giraffe that had died of natural causes at the zoo a long time ago.
