Well done Room 18. I love how you have used Sock Puppets on the iPad so creatively and I like how it shows that your maori pronounciation is improving. Ka pai!
Thank you for including the English as well as the Maori so everyone can understand what you are saying. Mrs Prescott
Ka pai tamariki mā! Kei Kaikohe tōku kainga noho. Well done tamariki mā! My home is in Kaikohe - Far North.
I use the following phrase when asking how someone is: "E pēhea ana koe?" Some replies might be: "E pai ana ahau." "E hiamoe ana ahau." "E riri ana ahau." Many of my friends from Auckland down towards the South Island use: "Kei te pēhea koe?" "Kei te....ahau." He tino pai ā koutou mahi tamariki mā!!! Your work is very good children!!!!
Kia ora Moana! What a nice surprise to get some messages from you. Nga mihi for telling us a different way when asking how someone is. He tino awhina koe. We tried our hardest with the pronounciation but we are still learning! You are the first person from outside our school to comment on our blog so that makes us feel tino pai rawa! ps - how do you get macrons for your letters?
Kia ora anō tamariki mā. He pātai tāku. I have a question. Could I please share one of your sock puppet clips via the Virtual Learning Network. The Virtual Learning Network is an online community for New Zealand Teachers/Educators. I think the many teachers/educators will be very interested in seeing your work.
If ok my email address is moana.timoko@core-ed.org. I await your reply! I will make sure that your class name and blog info is included so that others may contact you as well.
We would LOVE it if you shared our hard work with other teachers. Mahia atu! Mrs Lemi will email you shortly with a link to the videos on youtube and you should be able to get them from there. She might need help from Mrs Prescott. We hope everyone that sees our work likes it! Haere ra!
